Wow! What a trip 🩷

France and Switzerland were amazing and as I sit and sift through videos and photos, I am overwhelmed by what an incredible time we both had.

However, none of us in the classic car world exist without help and support and I’d like to thank a few people who helped us get there…and get home!

Ed and the ADO Restoration lads. WRCC Halifax for providing 11th hour parts! Matt at ESM. Andy and Brigitte from the Swiss Morris Minor Club and of course, the most handsome man on Practical Classics and 10/10 route planner, James Walshe.

Wow! The route James Walshe planned for us through Switzerland didn’t disappoint.

The Grimsel Pass, Furka Pass and picturesque towns we passed through were absolutely breathtaking.

I will be saving a lot of my content for a video (despite me saying I wouldn’t make one) and an upcoming piece in Practical Classics, which will have all my special photos.

However, here’s a taster. It was bloody fantastic and I would recommend getting it on your list of ‘must do’ adventures.

PS. Yes, we were on drum brakes 😉

Having the holiday of a lifetime!

We’ve seen bears, a mariachi band, danced in an underground cave jazz bar, seen a cat riding an accordion, ridden the steepest cable car in Europe, visited Dali and James Bond museums and erm, had the gearbox out 🤣.

More on that gearbox situation later…you’ll have something to look forward to on the travel video!

Nancy got an MOT, straight pass as usual ☺️

I’ve been meaning to pop down for the last month and considering I am off on holiday, it only seemed sensible to get that final stamp of approval before I head overseas.

An MOT is only ever proof your car was roadworthy at point of test, but in my opinion, it’s always a clever idea to get a second, well informed opinion on your beloved classic.

Plus, these guys know their stuff. One of the chaps has been doing MOTs since the 1960s and is VERY eagle eyed.

Few more jobs to do (home and pet related!) and then it’ll be off to France.

Can’t wait to share a few bits and pieces with you all ☀️
