In this picture there are two different badges, the Pink one is what a PDI (trainee instructor) would display in their car on the left hand side of the windscreen, this means they haven't yet qualified, they still have to take whats called a part 3-teaching ability test, a PDI has only three attempts at this test and if they fail all three attempts they are then no longer allowed to teach for reward (payment). You can retrain starting from the beginning prt1/2/3 but have to wait 2 years from the date of passing prt1 before doing so.

The Green badge is what a qualified ADI would display, this means they have passed the part 3 test and are a fully qualified driving instructor.

ADI MUST display a Green badge, PDI MUST display a Pink badge if they're charging money for lessons! If you do not see a badge being displayed then ask where the badge is. If you don't feel you are able to challenge your instructor then I'm more than happy to offer help and advice 🙂

We've had lots of progress again last week, confidences were soring through the roof 😀 👐, some excellent manuovers, some amazing progress with effective gear changes and clutch control and some progress towards that finish line and as always lots of laughs 🤣

Amazing lessons, well done to you all 💓🙂🫶👊🙃

Lia was quite nervous this week as she'd had a few weeks off, but she literally drove like a pro 💪 She was confident, cool, calm and collected 🫶

There were a few areas we talked about on the way, but overall it was a brilliant drive 🚗

Izzy drove off from home this week, she has made excellent progress to be able to do this, Izzy lives on a challenging route, but managed well with my instructions 😀

We then went for a drive to Saddleworth Moor, working on her gear changes up and down, driving at higher speeds and ensuring effective steering. Izzy did not have any issues at driving at 60mph 😀🙌 her foot was firmly to the floor 🤣

Excellent lesson Izzy, well done 😀🤌🙌😊🙃🩷

Emma wanted to practice the parallel park this week, we talked through the method which she understood and found it easy enough to remember.

We worked on making sure Emma got the car as close to the curb so as not to be stuck out but if she was she understood how to correct it, Emma was also able to carry out the manuover with effective control and observations

Amazing lesson Emma, well done ☺️🫶🩷🙃😊🙌

Fantastic lesson Julia, well done 😊🙃🩷🫶☺️💪

I took Katelyn on a random drive this week, she was quite nervous as she knew we were off for a drive but honestly she had nothing to worry about, her drive was smooth, safe and confident 💪

We had already talked about the things I'll be prompting with just to finesse her overall drive but she did amazing 👏

Fabulous work Katelyn, well done 🫶☺️😀🙃🙌

Honestly just look how laid back Ellis is! 🤣🤣 he did brilliant this week, he has made excellent progress in his general driving skills, foot work and confidence.

Ellis did a parallel park for the 1st time, he had a good understanding of what to do so I asked to give it a go, BAM!! 1st time, bish bash bosh 🙌 we discussed his observations and they needed to be the same as what he'd been doing with the pull up on the right, the more he did it the better they got 💪

Fantastic lesson Ellis, well done 🙌💪👍🤌🙃

Hollie did amazing this week, I got her drive off from home, which can be tricky! We then went for a little drive and I pushed her skills a little further and drove to Saddleworth Moor, there were a few things along the way to practice and finesse but we discussed on the go, we practiced setting off effectively and smoothly from a stopped position ie at traffic lights and then Hollie drove herself home.

Amazing lesson Hollie, well doke 😊😀☺️🫶🩷
