Fenland Classic Motorcycles Fenland Classics, Keeping Pre WWII Motorcycles Alive. We have a web presence and concentrate on providing news and information relating to old motorcycles.

Whilst we concentrate on pre 1945 motorcycles we do keep up to date with information and current related legislation. Our passion to keep old motorcycles alive also extends to research about historic events as well as sustainable development of zero emission fuels which could prolong the use of fossil fuels for historic vehicles. Brooklands celebrated the centenary of the first Brooklands Motorcycle Grand Prix held on 9 October 1926.

I am honoured to be part of that team and walk in the footsteps of the great people who raced at .
Researching the early years of motorcycle racing has brought me closer to those men and women racers and their families as well as the engineering that continues on the site to this day.
Everything on the site has a remarkable story. This Norton Mod 18 won the 500cc races at the 1927 &28 Brooklands Motorcycle Grand Prix meetings and in 1987 an elderly Albert Denley was pictured with the bike on which he broke the 24 hr record at Montlhery

This is all a bit last minute, but I am looking for a 1920s New Hudson Motorcycle to act as a centrepiece as we celebrate the centenary of Tommy Bullus winning the first Brooklands Motorcycle Grand Prix. The event will be taking place on Thursday 8 Oct at Brooklands Museum. We have some interest from the press, but without a relevant bike there is no visual interest. Please get in touch if you are able to help

Those who read Classic Bike will be aware of Tommy's Career from this month's magazine. I also interviewed Great Niece Susanne Schartel which is available via YouTube.

A remarkable and very rare image of the Brooklands 1922 1000cc v twin Rudge at Brooklands most likely taken in 1923 during one of their Sidecar Record Runs. The Rider looks very like Bob Dicker and the passenger is unidentified.
I am currently researching a collection of images and documents held by Bert Mathers family. Burt was The co-rider on the 1922 record runs and competed in races as a Rudge works rider.

The McEvoy Shed at Brooklands Museum is 100 years old this year. The shed was originally occupied by Michael McEvoy who with Engineer and racer George Patchett developed world record breaking McEvoy motorcycles. The internals of the shed were curated by the Brooklands VMCC many years ago and form the basis of the exhibit today, which is still used by the Brooklands Pictured in the Shed are some recent more recent Projects.
