A year ago this week I went to have a look at 2464 as a possible second bus. Just one year later she has just returned from Scotland after doing over 400 miles. She also has attended several shows notably being included at Wrightbus’ 80th Anniversary celebrations at Ballymena along with the ITH Bus & Coach Rally.

Buying a bus isn’t an easy venture nor is it cheap. Despite having some issues we managed to get her turned around in 6 weeks and she passed her first MOT in over 4 years first time. The interior restoration was a difficult task but through various connections in the bus community I was able to source all the parts needed.

2464 is a true testament to Ulsterbus, Bangor Engineering for looking after her during her 16 year service career.

2784 and 2464 pictured together outside the old Wrightbus factory at Galgorm Industrial Estate on Saturday past. Both vehicles where constructed there in 1999 and 2006 respectively.

A big thank you to the staff at Wrightbus for their kind invitation to their 80th Anniversary Family open day. We attended with Citybus Renown 2784.
