Today I had the pleasure of visiting the headquarters of Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance for a behind the scenes look at what it takes to keep this much needed service available to those in need.
I had the opportunity to speak with members of the team, including one of the pilots and doctors, and get a real insight into the work that goes on behind the scenes to keep this incredible service running.
Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance receives no government funding and relies entirely on donations. It’s a charity that is very personal to me, so I was absolutely delighted to present a cheque for £1,820, raised through my charity draw earlier this year.
Seeing the people and dedication behind the service today made the fundraising feel even more worthwhile.
Once again, a huge thank you to everyone who donated, supported the draw and helped make this possible. It’s truly appreciated.
