SMS Autocare have kindly donated a mini - moto to Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service to use as part of their Fire Bike programme. The mini-moto was delivered to Lowestoft South Fire Station by the team from SMS Autocare and gratefully received by the Fire Bike Team.

The Fire Bike Team deliver Road Safety Education to all motorists with a focus on the motorcycling community and can be found at various motoring shows across the year in different parts of the county. The team also deliver Biker Down, a 3-hour course specifically for Bikers covering incident scene management, casualty care and the science of being seen. There are two upcoming courses in Lowestoft, both at Lowestoft South Fire Station, one on Saturday 20th September and the other on Saturday 25th October. Another interesting one for you. Astra failed the mot as the ratchet part of the handbrake wouldn’t hold. On these cars they come as a complete unit including the handle.
The photos do not do the job justice with the amount that had to be stripped out to gain access as well as potentially having to also drop the exhaust to attach it underneath. A fiddly time consuming task that requires a lot of patience!
Mission accomplished and retested and our lovely customer could then get back to work (sorry!!)

They say you can’t make an omelette without breaking eggs!!
Believe it or not this is organised chaos, all parts are laid out in a fashion so things can be easily replaced in a set order. This is the mechanics version of open heart surgery on a vehicle.

Happy new year to all our customers!
As of today we are back to our usual working hours Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:30 and what a day it’s been!
We have already been super busy and apologies to anyone struggling to get through on the phones.
