Just letting you know that there may be days this week where I may not be able to walk your dog due to the high temperatures, even in the mornings or evenings.

As a rule, we tend not to walk when the starting temperature is around 20°C, as the temperature during the walk — especially on the return journey — may exceed 24°C.

I always take into consideration each dog’s age, breed, coat length, exercise needs, energy levels, mobility, health, and how well they cope with the heat, as every dog is different. During early mornings and late evenings, I also need to consider my own safety.

Where possible, walks will take place in shaded woodland areas & around safe, clean waterway. I will always carry water for the dogs and keep clean fresh water available in the car too

If a walk has to be missed due to the heat, it will be replaced with enrichment activities and fun in cool, well-ventilated indoor areas.

🚨 Bloat in Dogs Can Turn Fatal Fast 🚨

Bloat (GDV) is a life-threatening emergency where a dog’s stomach fills with gas and can twist, cutting off blood supply. It can happen suddenly and needs immediate veterinary attention.

⚠️ Know the warning signs:• Swollen or hard belly• Unsuccessful retching / trying to vomit• Excessive drooling• Restlessness or pacing• Signs of pain or discomfort• Pale gums

🐕 Dogs at higher risk:Large, deep-chested breeds, older dogs, fast eaters, dogs who gulp water after meals, or those with a family history of bloat.

🚑 If you suspect bloat:1️⃣ Call your vet/emergency clinic straight away2️⃣ Transport your dog immediately (carry them if possible)
