🚗 DVSA driving test swap changes from 1 October
From 1 October, the process for swapping driving tests is changing.
The change means learners will no longer need to coordinate their availability at the same time, making the process simpler and less stressful.
What’s changing?
🔹 The first learner will still need to call DVSA to request the swap.
🔹 The second learner will then need to call DVSA on the same working day to confirm they are happy with the swap.
⚠️ Important: DVSA can only process the swap if both learners contact DVSA on the same working day.
Previously, both learners needed to be available and on the phone at the same time to complete the swap.
📌 So, from 1 October, you no longer need to coordinate a time when you can both call DVSA together — but both calls must still be made on the same working day.
