🚨 Another e-bike back on the road when everyone else said no! 🚨
We recently had a customer bring in a Chinese colorway e-bike that had completely died on a steep climb with the hill assist maxed out. The kicker? The bike had only covered 11km from new. 📉
The manufacturer went totally radio silent, and unfortunately, no other shops around Glasgow wanted to touch it.
The symptoms were intermittent and tricky to track down, but after methodically testing all the electrical components, we found the culprit. The pedal assist sensor was jamming up on rotation and pulling away from the chassis, completely killing the motor assist. We fitted a brand new sensor, dialled it in, and the customer is finally back out enjoying their ride! ⚡🚴‍♂️
At Axis Two-Wheel Engineering, we know Chinese-market bikes are what they are. We don't judge, and more importantly, we don't turn away riders who just need a hand getting back on the road.
Got an e-bike or scooter giving you grief? Drop it in. We’ve got you covered. 🛠️

Absolute MONSTER of an e-scooter in the shop today! 🛴💨
Just finished fitting a brand new tubeless tyre and a fresh valve to get this beast back on the road where it belongs.
I’m not going to lie—tyre changes on these big scooters are notorious, and they really don't come much harder than this one! 😅🔧 But a bit of elbow grease later, and it's rolling perfectly again.
If your e-scooter is needing some TLC (no matter how stubborn the tyres are!), drop us a message and we'll get you sorted. 📩👇

Another Segway Ninebot saved at Axis Two-Wheel Engineering! 🛴🔧
Recently, a customer brought their scooter to us after being quoted a massive repair bill by Skootz here in Glasgow. They had diagnosed the Segway Ninebot as needing a full replacement battery, quoting upwards of £150 just to supply the part!
Instead of taking that at face value, we did what we do best: a meticulous, step-by-step diagnosis. We quickly confirmed that the battery was actually perfectly healthy. The real culprit? A faulty DC controller.
✅ The Fix: We supplied and fitted a quality used controller for less than a third of the cost of that battery quote, and had the customer's scooter turned around and ready to ride in under an hour! ⏱️
At Axis Two-Wheel Engineering, we give every scooter the attention it deserves. We don't guess at problems—we confirm exactly what the fault is so you aren't paying for expensive parts you don't actually need.
Got a scooter issue or a suspicious repair quote? Bring it to the workshop for a proper diagnosis! 👇

Check out this 10-year-old daily commuter we just finished up at Axis! 🏍️💨
Believe it or not, this bike is ridden all year round, tackling everything the weather throws at it. So, how do we keep a decade-old, all-weather machine looking this pristine under the seat?
The secret weapon is ACF-50 Protection.
Take a look at the immaculate engine bay and that brilliant red cap in the photo!
That is the standard we aim for!
If you ride your bike regularly, here is why you need an ACF-50 treatment at Axis:
🛡️ Kills Existing Rust: It actively penetrates corrosion, chemically neutralizing it and lifting it away from the metal.
🛑 Prevents New Corrosion: It forms an ultra-thin, active clear film that acts as a barrier against moisture, road salt, and grime.
⚡ Protects Electronics: It is completely non-conductive and protects vital electrical systems and connectors from moisture-induced failures.
🛵 Safe on Multiple Surfaces: It is safe to use on plastics, rubber, and painted surfaces, keeping everything lubricated and looking fresh without a sticky residue.
🌧️ Long-Lasting Defense: A single thorough application can protect your bike for up to 12 months, making it an absolute must-have for year-round riders.
Don't let the rain and road salt eat away at your pride and joy. Daily commuting doesn't have to mean a rusty bike!
Want to protect your investment? Drop us a message here at Axis or comment below to book your ACF-50 treatment today! 👇

Apologies for the recent radio silence on the page!
We’ve been heads down in the workshop, making sure every job gets our full attention. Currently on the lift at Axis Two-Wheel Engineering, we have this Pure electric scooter in for some much-needed TLC.
The task at hand involves:
Repairing damaged wiring up at the stem.
Supplying and fitting a brand-new DC controller to get the customer safely back on the road.
As you can tell from the workspace, keeping a regimented, clean, and tidy shop is a top priority. A meticulously organized environment means every repair is handled with the utmost care, precision, and attention to detail, especially when servicing electric scooters. Everything has its place, ensuring every vehicle that comes through the doors is treated with the exact same high standard of respect.
Thanks for sticking with us, and we'll try to keep the updates rolling! 🛴🔧

🚗 Small Wheels, Big Care: Going the Extra Mile for Our Customers!
At Axis, we are usually busy with our standard projects—but when a loyal customer comes to us with a unique challenge, we just can't say no. Even if that challenge is only about two feet tall.
We recently took on a different kind of repair job: a kid's electric ride-on car that had refused to start.
After getting under the "hood," we diagnosed and sorted a few key issues:
The Battery: It had a completely flat 12V battery. Instead of just replacing it, we successfully ran a repair cell cycle to breathe new life back into it.
The Safety Issue: We identified a pinched, damaged wire that was actively stopping the vehicle's safety features from working. We repaired the wire to make sure the little driver stays safe.
The Power Source: We tracked down a faulty charger that was preventing the car from holding a charge in the first place.
It might not be our usual line of work, but seeing a loyal customer (and one very excited kid) happy makes it all worth it.
Going above and beyond is just how we roll. 🛠️⚡

🚐 A little something different in the workshop this week! 🚐
While Axis Two-Wheel Engineering usually sticks to... well, two wheels, we couldn’t say no to helping out a customer with a very frustrating—and potentially expensive—issue on their VW Transporter.
🚨 The Problem:
The customer had an SOS error light on the dashboard, which is an automatic MOT failure. Instead of checking the actual health of the SOS battery, VW puts a hard time limit on it. Once that time is up, the warning light comes on. Because the battery is buried deep behind the dashboard and requires the car's adaptations to be reset, VW’s standard fix is a hefty 3-hour labor charge plus the cost of a brand-new battery.
🔧 The Axis Solution:
We prefer a common-sense approach over automatically replacing parts. We dug in, checked the battery's actual health and charge condition, and found absolutely zero issues with it.
We reset the adaptations.
Cleared the dashboard fault completely.
Restored full, working access to the SOS button.
💷 The Result:
Instead of a 3-hour main dealer bill and unnecessary parts, the customer was charged for just 1 hour of diagnostic time. Most importantly, the van is now fully clear of warning lights and ready to pass its MOT! ✅
Always happy to help save our customers time and money with honest diagnostics—even if it has four wheels instead of two!
