With winter approaching, now is the worst time to put off potential vehicle problems.

The best part is you don't even need to leave your home for us to carry out any repairs or maintenance.

At RevRunners, we're not just mechanical repair experts. We can also identify and repair electrical faults.

Remote key not working? Central locking issues? Indicators out of sync? And nothing coming through the heating system?

When a few electrical issues start happening together, it could point to a key control/electrical fault rather than separate problems.

Using a CAT IV multimeter, we’re checking the electrical system and tracing the cause of the electrical fault, which could explain why the heating/air conditioning controls aren’t working.

Sometimes it’s not a mechanical part of a vehicle, but the wiring, and we can test and diagnose the electrical network to then sort the problem.

We have some news and changes we would like to share

We now have two mechanics with strong knowledge and skills in vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, and an individual working in the background. We constantly monitor our operations to improve our services. (meet the team post coming soon!)

Pricing Update
A £35 call-out charge covers our visit to inspect the vehicle; however, a full diagnostic is £60. Going ahead with the repair? The £35 call-out fee will be deducted from your final bill.

Second-Hand Car Sales
Our mechanics work on projects, on second-hand vehicles that still have life in them. Revrunners will carry out the necessary mechanical work to get the cars roadworthy, with a 1-month warranty from when purchasing.
Whether it's a first car, an everyday runaround, a second vehicle, or something affordable to get you from A to B, one of these cars could do you a great turn.

A timing chain system can sometimes become slow to react if the hydraulic tensioner isn’t building oil pressure quickly when the engine starts.

When the tensioner doesn’t move as it should, it can’t keep the chain held tightly in place. This creates slack and delayed movement, which you can feel as slight resistance or unevenness.

In simple terms:
The part that keeps the chain tight isn’t waking up fast enough, so the chain isn’t sitting where it should
