Overview - We are urgently recruiting an energetic and experienced HGV1 Driver to join our dynamic transportation team.
In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating fridge trailers to deliver goods efficiently and reliably.. This position offers a 8 days shift pattern (Tramping), 4 days on-4 days off, If you have a passion for driving and a commitment to safety, this is the perfect opportunity to advance your career while maintaining work-life balance.
Experienced Driver preferred but full training will be given to new drivers.
Duties:
- Safely operate Class 1 and 2 vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify mechanical issues and ensure roadworthiness
- Follow designated routes for delivery and shuttle driving, maintaining punctuality and efficiency throughout each shift
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation
Requirements:
- Valid HGV1 (Class 1) license with proven commercial driving experience
- Experience in shuttle driving, route driving, or freight delivery within a commercial vehicle environment
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy trucks and trailers to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance checks
- Strong communication skills for clear interaction with team members and clients
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to general Haulage.
