King Charles III officially added a brand-new £350K Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II to the royal fleet after receiving the ultra-luxurious SUV as a Coronation gift from the King of Bahrain.
The heavily customised Cullinan is reportedly reserved strictly for official duties and state occasions rather than personal use by the Royal Family. It allegedly runs on biofuel in line with the King’s environmental interests while featuring bespoke interior touches including special interior lighting and Rolls-Royce’s signature Starlight Headliner.
As images of the new state car began circulating online, people quickly started voicing mixed opinions. Some questioned the symbolism of gifting Britain’s monarch a Rolls-Royce given the brand’s British heritage, with one commenter saying “Nice gift, but RR should be the one gifting it,” before comparing the gesture to “King Charles buying Trump a Big Mac,” while others compared it to “giving candy to the candy store” or “a loaf of bread to the baker.”
Others focused on the Cullinan itself, with many praising the SUV’s imposing presence, luxurious design and its role as a striking new addition to the royal fleet.
