🚂 LAYOUT ANNOUNCEMENT: NANT GWERNOL
Take a journey into the wooded landscape of the Talyllyn Railway with Nant Gwernol, a beautifully detailed 009 narrow-gauge layout coming to RailEx Fareham 2026.
Set in late autumn 2024, the layout recreates the Talyllyn Railway’s remote terminus at Nant Gwernol. The real location was mapped using drones, allowing the layout to be modelled without compression and brought remarkably close to the prototype.
Look carefully and you will discover individually handmade ferns, fallen leaves, forestry signs, several different styles of fencing and even a fully modelled station interior. Listen closely too, as the atmospheric sounds were recorded at Nant Gwernol station itself.
The layout normally operates authentic passenger, heritage goods and engineering trains, although an occasional glitch in the matrix may allow some familiar Skarloey Railway rolling stock to appear!

🎟 Adults £10 in advance or £12 on the day. Children under 16 are admitted free with a paying adult.
