Another big week on site, and things are really starting to take shape! 🏡

The scaffolding is now up to first-floor level for the brickwork to continue. Next week, the floor joists are going in, followed by the first-floor brickwork. The scaffolding will then be raised again as we move up towards the second floor and the upper section of the garage.

But the biggest milestone this week has been the installation of the huge structural steels. These have been carefully positioned to support the structure and walls as the build progresses, all designed and installed in accordance with the relevant building regulations.

And just to put the size and strength of them into perspective… here’s a snapshot of the team sitting on one of the biggest steels! 😳

It’s been a challenging week getting these steels into position, but what a job the team have done! 💪

The Warsash build is really starting to take shape! 👏

The internal walls are now going up, giving us a much clearer sense of the size and layout of each room, while the brickwork is looking absolutely beautiful 👌🏻

The site has also had a good old tidy-up, and the driveway has been levelled and compacted, making a huge difference to the overall appearance of the site.

A special shout-out to Kier whose hard work preparing the muck and groundworks for the brickies has helped keep everything moving at such a great pace. 👏

Next up is scaffolding, with the floor joists and the next stage of the build due to be installed towards the end of next week.

One feature the clients are particularly excited about is now taking shape at the rear of the house: three long, oblong fully glazed windows , which will eventually be fitted with black frames overlooking the garden. It’s a really unique feature, and we can’t wait to see it finished!

And honestly, the photos do not do the size of this plot justice. It’s a seriously extensive build, and seeing it develop week by week is fantastic.

A little appreciation post…

With the new build really starting to take shape and several other projects running alongside it, we thought it was about time we gave a shout-out to someone who plays a pretty big part in keeping everything moving — our Site Manager, Jay! 👏

Jay works closely alongside our Director, James, on the new build, making sure everything is organised, built properly and progressing as it should 👍

But Jay’s role definitely doesn’t stop at the new build. He’s also heavily relied upon across our other projects, regularly stepping in wherever he’s needed and helping make sure the same standards are maintained throughout. He’s become a real asset to Home Transformers, someone both James and the rest of the team can depend on!

So, credit where credit’s due — thank you, Jay, for everything you do behind the scenes as well as on site. It certainly doesn’t go unnoticed.

Now enough compliments… back to work! 😉🏠

The brickwork on the new build over in Warsash is coming up a treat thanks to the old boy Strawbs! He may be old 🤪 but he knows how to lay a proper brick 🧱 !!

All jokes aside what beautiful workmanship from Strawbs here - we are now pretty much ready for the next phase of the build! 🏡

As well as finishing off the lower part of the brickwork to the house and garage, fencing will also be going up over the coming weeks!

It’s been a busy site but the hard work our team put in is evident in this photo - remember ….we only started mid August!!

Great progress on our new build!

Things are really starting to take shape on site!

✅ House foundations & drainage complete
✅ Garage foundations & drainage complete
✅ Ground being levelled around the sides and rear
🧱 Garage brickwork underway — and already looking beautiful!

And the big milestone… the first bricks for the main house are being laid TODAY! 🏠👏

A special shout-out to Chris, our Site Supervisor who’s done a fantastic job running the site this week while Jay’s been enjoying a well-earned holiday. Chris and the whole team have done an exceptional job keeping everything moving, the site incredibly tidy and getting us perfectly prepared for the next stage.

Fantastic teamwork and another exciting step forward! 👏🧱🏡

A bird’s-eye view of the new build over in Warsash, with the foundations down and the footprint of this impressive property really starting to reveal itself. 👀

One thing we will say — the photos are deceiving! It’s actually quite difficult to appreciate from these pictures just how substantial this property is going to be.

Once complete, this will be an incredible home spanning three floors, so what you’re seeing from above is only the beginning! 🏠

Great progress from the team and exciting to watch this build start to come out of the ground.

We’re making great progress on this exciting wraparound single-storey extension and full loft conversion in Burridge!

The finished project will create a fantastic new space for the family, including:

✨ A large open-plan kitchen/dining/living area
✨ A separate playroom
✨ A brand-new utility room
✨ The kitchen will feature a skylight roof lantern, bringing plenty of natural light into the heart of the home
✨ A full loft conversion with two large bedrooms and a spacious bathroom

The project is really taking shape, with the brickwork now complete, along with the first-fix electrics and plumbing. Floor insulation is in, all major structural works have been completed, including the steels, and the new roof is on.

The loft conversion is also progressing well, with the dormers now installed, creating the additional space needed for the two new bedrooms and large bathroom.

Everything is being carried out in accordance with the relevant Building Regulations, ensuring the finished extension and loft conversion are built to the required standards.

And so the brickwork begins!

We’re really pleased to see the first of the bricks going down on this build, and what a beautiful choice they are. The stunning cream and ivory tones, with those subtle splashes of dark grey running through are going to look fantastic once the build really starts to take shape.

It’s a must that we also say a very big WELL DONE to our loyal young lad, Oscar 👏 He’s now newly qualified in bricklaying and has been getting stuck in and helping out on this particular job. He’s doing fantastic, it’s brilliant to see him picking it up so well!!

And not forgetting the rest of the team — everyone is doing a cracking job, especially working in this heat! ☀️🔥

Great progress on site today, and tomorrow we’ll be cracking on with the blockwork and getting those walls started.

It’s always good to see a project really taking shape! 💪
