Any ideas what this is? There are all sorts of strange parts that make up a car.

This A-class came to us with the airbag light on, disabling the airbags. It needed the seat pad weight sensor. So a new pad went in, and the airbags are now all working again.

We love a challenge. And we love the variety our work brings.

This week’s challenge was to fit this pre-formed air con pipe. But why was it such a tricky job? Because it would originally have gone in before the engine 🫣😵‍💫.

With a few components removed and a lot of VERY awkward positions (for both us and the part!), we got it in. Of course we did 🤭.

It still amazes us how badly people can fit things. This isn’t a hate post about other garages; we just feel strongly that if something needs doing, it needs doing properly, especially when the customer is being charged for it. And don’t get us started on safety…

When this car came to us, we found a twisted brake hose that looked like it had been there for a VERY long time. So we popped a new hose in and ensured it was routed correctly. Another job well done!

Last week, we had an older car in with a 5-speed gearbox that wouldn’t change into 5th gear. After a bit of investigative work, we removed the gearbox internals and replaced the electrics plate.

Kevin muttered something about doing these 26 years ago at Mercedes, but the team told him it made him sound VERY old… 🤭
