Well. What can i say. This weekends race meeting was deffinitely one of those that we will never ever forget. With dad deciding he was going to get in his kart for the first time since january to join me for round 6 of hooton parks clubman championship. Practice on Friday went well and dad only spent minimal time stuck in tyre walls lol. And i managed to get into 39 second laps which inwas over the moon with. We were both feeling positive for sundays race day. Which was absolutely soaking wet with only a few breaks in the rain. And the first wet meeting on slick tyres for most of the drivers on track. I love wet conditions and it deffinitely showed. I qualified fastest. Won both heats and the final. My first clean sweep in prokarts. And my first final win also. Dad surprised us and managed to qualify 6th. He managed to hold onto that position for both the heats. And then. Due to some good luck and what we all thought was his best drive to date. He managed to take the chequered flag in 3rd place. And with our very good friend danunzio on p2. It was our perfect podium and a day all of us have agreed will be one we shall never forget. Me dad and brian would like to say a massive Thanks For all the support from our friends and sponsors. Over at legacy customs and nova motorcraft. And with a bit of luck. What a great weekend at round 4 of Hooton Park Indikart 2023 after some good test sessions on the Saturday we were quietly confident. Managed to qualify p1 in class which put us p2 on the grid with dave grundy taking the top honours after a great start we managed to exit turn 1 in p1 and after dave threw a chain causing a little mayhem we had quite a lead by the end of lap 1 so decided not to.push as hard as poss but to step down a notch rather than risking an un necessary off but Oliver Hill caught up about 2 Laos from the Finnish so had to switch up a gear and held on fir a p1 Finnish heat 2 saw Oliver get the better of us with a close fought battle and we were more than happy with the p2 Finnish. and all I can say is what a final Oliver Riley Oliver Riley Andy Downey had the lead for a while then Oli again I decided rather than battling him and it causing us to slow and the pack catch up to drop.bk a little so we could try break free then make a move as close to.the flag as I dated leave it I decided the last lap I was going for it but un known to me my chain guard had got damaged and was slowly undoing my oil level plug it let go on the top straight spewing oil all over my left rear tyre and as I entered turn2 no grip and offloading I went dropping back to p4 overall but managed to limp home with what j thought at the time was a flat tyre and hold that place for the flag which meant p3 in class so still a podium all be it not what we hoped for but the best race I've had for a very long time congratulations to all the guys out racing this weekend especially to.mick danunzio on getting a new pb and Glyn charles who despite some major issues resulting in a dnf and a dns battled in the final from the back to get a p8 (I think) big thanks to Brian donson for his constant support and banter and our sponsors Legacy Customs and nova motorcraft I'll post a link to footage of the race on YouTube in a separate post if anyone fancies watching

Had a great day's testing this bank holiday Monday helping a couple of new friends Macauley Parnham and Lee get their kart setup and Riley gave them some driver coaching despite what he thought he was actually quite good at it with some brilliant lap times all round and mick danuzio even helped out too

Well here at last is our race report for round 3 of Hooton ikc championship we had a cracking weekend finally getting the setup nailed in practice on Saturday and Riley drove almost faultlessly in all heats and the final to secure a p2 Finnish and some more silverware for his collection thanks to all the other drivers who all gave it everything they had on race day especially Mike danuzio for his advice on driving style Riley said it really helped unfortunately the points tables havnt been updated yet so we're a little unsure where we are possibly p3 or p4 overall up we will let you all know soon

Points have just been uploaded to the alpha timing website qnd we're currently sitting in joint 3rd after the first round fingers crossed we can improve on that but for now happy as pigs in the brown stuff
