We love a challenge, and this was certainly that. When a customer calls you and states "the engine looks like it's been dipped in something" you suddenly get interested. The Yamaha XT500 engine that arrived was indeed "dipped in something". It turned out that along its life its been painted at least three times, powder coated twice ( plus someone decided to try and remove the coating for one of those processes by rubbing it down with presumably, rocks), as the entire engine was scratched and gouged all over, then for good measure, corrosion has run a mock (especially on the Mag alloy parts). The coating in places was 5mm thick and moisture had firmly made a home in the places you really don't want it. Anyway, after stripping back to good bare metal, metal refinishing in the places that matter and going through the proper Cerakote process ( Elite Series Blackout Black), its now ready for the onward journey to be restored and ready to have hopefully better years ahead. Lots of pictures, not necessarily in the right order 😀

Nothing gives you faith in a business more than a multi returning customer. Various parts for a Honda S800 build, coated and protected in Cerakote ( spoiler alert , Cerakote gives unrivalled protection against corrosion, oil, brake fluid, etc etc, it also has amazing flexibility properties for a coating with such durability) so these parts will not only look good, but will stay so in the world they live in.

Collaborations are great, customers getting the best services for a complete delivery of a project. In this case we work with our friends at East Anglia Vapour Blasting, who provide expert services in not only vapour blasting but full renovation, service and rebuilds for BING carbs, we provide the necessary parts coated and protected with Cerakote. The end result is delighted customer, always the number 1 aim.

Well its Holiday Monday, so work it is. A few parts completed today, a pair of CR125 foot peg hangers, now enjoying Cerakote protection. Next up some AP calipers and associated parts along with the handlebar controls for a Triumph, again protected, looking great and off to be used as intended.

It's always great to see our work, put to work. Here we have a very impressive and meticulous build from one of our customers on an E92 M3 BMW, wIth support for the powder coating from our friends at S & T Customs Powder Coaters, this is the Cerakoted hub sitting perfectly in a better than factory setting. Next stop for this particular car, is the Nurburgring! and yes I'm very jealous 😀

What's better than a coating that's there to last, protect and look great? it's being prepared, engineered and finished by the absolute experts in their field, this is such a collection ( BSA in this case), we coated in Elite Series Blackout Black and back to said experts to build and create the magic only they can.
