There was a day weather window yesterday so we decided to have a day out deep on the wrecks
Great fun day! With some stunning po***ck for the table
Not looking great for a couple of days now with the strong winds, fingers crossed for Friday!

Another cracking day on the water today
Turbot fishing!
Plenty of smaller fishing returned but some nice ones for the table
Finishing our trip today with some bass fishing on our way home which was great fun for all

First trip of the season for us this morning and what a way to start!!
Stunning stamp of Bass this morning, biggest going 7.4lb

🚧 we’ve been working hard behind the scenes for our annual maintenance at Avon Marina
🛠️ Engines have been removed, serviced with a few parts replaced due to wear and tear.
🔩 Engines were then reinstated and aligned in the engine bay.
👩🏼‍🎨 Freshly painted antifoul, carried out by Daniella
🧽 Full polish of exterior gel coat.
🏗️ Craned back into the water and taken out for a test run.

🎣 Fishing rods and reels all serviced and ready for the start of our season.

We are now ready for Easter 🐣 and we look forward to welcoming new and old faces onboard again for the 2026 season! We’ve got limited availability left, however we will be opening new dates and trips for the remainder of the season over the coming weeks.

As we start 2026, We would like to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR! and also thanks to all who have been onboard BLUE STRIKE!
Looking forward to getting you all back out there whether it be reeling in Mackerel, Bream, Bass, Tope, Plaice, Turbot or the mighty Bluefin Tuna!

On Thursday we had a great bunch of lads on from Hi Tek scaffolding
After a tense 2hrs trying to find the fish we finally hit the gold pot!
Tuna busts as far as we could see!
Going 10 to 7 to the boat x2 double hook ups what a day!!
With our tuna season coming to the end, looking like we might get a couple of last chances with the weather this coming week

A small gap in the weather this week
Tuna time!!
We got the lads a tuna each under there belt by 12pm 👌
Then went and hit some wrecks for some po***ck, bass
Great enjoyable day!!
