Project Spotlight: Corby International Swimming Pool.

Peak Mechanical were proud to lead the mechanical refurbishment at Corby International Swimming Pool, replacing the old gas-fired system with a high-efficiency air source heat pump (ASHP) solution.

Working closely with the client team, we delivered a low-carbon, high-performance heating system while managing the challenges of a live leisure environment.

Project highlights:
* Complete removal of existing gas services and plant
* Installation of air source heat pumps for pool water, space heating, and building services
* Buffer vessels to support capacity and efficiency
* 250mm below-ground distribution pipework for high flow demands
* New hot water cylinders for pool and domestic use
* Fan coil unit connections for improved internal temperature control
* Ensuring safety and operational continuity throughout

📍 Case Study | Taff's Well, South Wales

The Peak team recently worked with a valued client to install and commission a system incorporating 21°C thermal spring water.

The water from the well will provide a pre-heat source to a number of Kensa heat pumps serving a local school and sports pavilion, helping to deliver an efficient and sustainable heating solution.

An interesting fact about this project is that the water takes an incredible 5,000-year journey from the Brecon Beacons before emerging at a constant 21°C from the only thermal spring in Wales.

We're proud to have played a part in such an innovative and unique renewable energy project.
