The latest DVSA data for April–June 2026 puts Brake Systems and Components at the top of the HGV failure list, at 5.92%. Across the same quarter, 114,124 HGV tests were carried out, with an initial fail rate of 10.32%

Meanwhile, 18,158 new HGVs were registered in the first half of 2026, with fleet renewal continuing across the UK commercial vehicle market.
