Most people in drifting (me included!) use the handbrake far too much, but the people who say it should NEVER be used just haven't worked out how to πŸ’…

A short, sharp and low pressure jab on the transition can (if timed right) bring the wheels back down to road speed suddenly, and that sudden regaining of grip after having the rear loaded up helps to SNAP the car round 🀌

Garage21 - Japanese Performance Specialists Fresh tyres after lunch... so, high boost?

Yeah, high boost
Actually ended up not being my fastest runups, annoyingly, but was trying to get up more speed and a slower rotation to get on power longer without pushing in too far... still more to improve "next time" 😁😁😁

IIIIIIIIIIIIIF you're happy and you know it clap your hands! As you can tell, I was pretty damn pleased when it all came together

Garage21 - Japanese Performance Specialists Donington C Course was once again an incredible event and an absolute highlight of the year!

For me, the objective of the weekend was to recreate the perfect Meihan Snap... that is a snappy transition onto the wall side, stop the rotation and get IMMEDIATELY back on power at 90 all the way into the corner.

Its wild how "one corner" can captivate you for an entire weekend, and I still haven't quite ticked every box I want to in one run, so there's STILL more to be done! It's so unbelievably hard to get it all perfect, and until you've done it yourself I don't think you can understand why Meihan guys go back again and again and again.

I'll probably try and break down what -I- would count as the perfect run goal at some point, but the next step is working out how the hell I can get more speed up to make the far corner at full 90, full throttle... can we have another one next weekend?

Wow, what a weekend! Only now getting time to come down from it all.
First event as a full .up driver, winning the friendly team drift comp, having an excellent weekend on track with all the boys and boyettes in between battling annoying issues on all the cars.

detted the engine that's been happy for 2 years (HOW?!). Havent stopped since and turned around the rebuild in the same WEEK
snapped a crank key (HOW?!)
playing musical turbos
Chasing a misfire on my own car that turned out to simply be waterlogged spark plug bores (first time that's ever happened to me)
Somehow managed to have the most reliable car????? (Til his fan wiring gave up and the world became right again)
But still the best weekend with the best people, an absolutely incredible way to start the year even despite that!

Now it's time to pack everything up again and head to Silverstone this weekend for Drift Kings! SEE YOU THERE.

And a special thanks from me to , could not have got all the cars fixed and ready to go again without them!

Excellent photographings from and ofc

Surprise!

Come on, you have to at least pretend to be surprised

Complete refresh for the car this year alongside officially joining the team!

Of course it had to stay Duce, with supplying the new front and skirts, meaning the bonnet shut line is absolutely spot on which is WILD for a Duce kit. Had to keep my favourite Arios style rear though

As for joining GrippedUp as an official member, its something I've always resisted purely because I felt my talents were better placed behind the scenes at bigger events: keeping the cars and boys running so they could put on the best show possible... but with off playing Nissans there was a little room for one more.

Nobody wants to join a team KNOWING they'll be the 4th place driver in terms of talent, but I'll be doing my absolute best to live up to the name the boys have created and the driving style we all love so much. Above all, I just can't wait to be out there getting rowdy with a matching team!

Saying goodbye to 2025 like...

(It didn't go well)

Well, I don't think I can avoid the refresh any longer... it's been a hard season for this Duce kit (been on the car 8 years mind!).

Winter is here now and it's time to tidy the car up, fit a new kit and repaint.

Keeping up with any member of .up is tough if you aren't ON IT from the start, but man is it good fun to try!

and are the nicest blokes to chase, but you do have to work hard for it πŸ˜†

GentleChaos.mp4, a Sketchy chase by me but bringing in the proximity by the end

Wet track, bald front tyres and a rusty driver, going 3 ups with the .up boys
at was a right laugh, and so thankful to have two predictable consistent drivers to follow

Drifting in the rain like this looks slow and calm from the outside, but inside it's hyper-stress trying to balance aggression, proximity and the grip levels.

That said, on a surface like Anglesey the consistency of grip helps a lot, but you can never get complacent!

Accelera 651s on all 3 cars were genuinely fantastic here in the rain, never even contemplated putting my full wets on.
