Ever feel like you need a degree in hieroglyphics to read your tyres? 🤯

For this week's , we’re cracking the code! Those random numbers on your sidewall aren't just gibberish—they are the DNA of your car's performance.

Let's break down a classic example: 205/55 R16 91V

📏 205 (The Width): In millimetres. The wider the number, the more rubber on the road.
🧱 55 (The Profile): The height of the sidewall. Lower numbers = sportier look, higher numbers = comfier ride.
⭕ R16 (The Rim): The size of the metal wheel it fits on (in inches). ⚖️ 91 (Load Index): How much weight it can carry.
🚀 V (Speed Rating): The max speed it can handle safely.

Where to find YOUR size: Don't guess! You can find the exact match for your car in the handbook, inside the fuel cap, on the driver's door jam, or just by looking at the sidewall of your current set.

Start your week right: Is your Car, Motorhome, Caravan or even Camper under pressure? 📉🚗

It’s ! Today we’re talking about one of the easiest checks you can do to save money and stay safe: Tyre Pressure.

Driving on under-inflated tyres doesn't just increase wear—it actually burns more fuel because your engine has to work harder to roll the vehicle .

👀 What to look for:

Bulging sidewalls: Does the tyre look "squashed" at the bottom?

Heavy steering: Does the car feel sluggish or hard to turn?

Drifting: Does the vehicle pull to one side on a straight road?

✅ What to do: Check your pressures at least once a month. You can find the correct PSI (pressure rating) for your vehicle in two places:

Sticker inside the door sill Or in your owners Handbook.

Pro Tip: Always check pressures when your tyres are cold (before you’ve driven far) for the most accurate reading!

Your tyres are the only contact point between your vehicle and the road. If they aren't in shape, your ABS and traction control can't do their job properly.

Top Tip: Don't let your tyre treads become history. Grab a 20p coin and check your tread depth today. If the outer band of the coin is visible, your tyres may be illegal and unsafe.

It’s cold, Icy & wet, and the roads can be unpredictable right now. If your tyres are worn, your stopping distance increases significantly—putting you and your passengers at risk.

For this Maintenance Monday, we are reminding everyone to check their tread depth. 🔹 The Law: The minimum legal limit is 1.6mm. 🔹 The Recommendation: In winter conditions, we recommend at least 3mm for better grip and water displacement.
