Today at Jay Moto, we’re carrying out a wet belt replacement on this Ford Ranger.

At 80,000 miles, the original belt has held up really well thanks to the vehicle being well maintained, with minimal cracking and no belt debris blocking the oil strainer.

When the clutch isn’t the culprit… 👀🔧

Another clutch replacement completed here at Jay Moto — and this one is a great reminder that clutch-related problems aren’t always caused by the clutch itself!

On this particular job, the clutch had seen plenty of wear, but the actual failure was the flywheel. A failed flywheel can cause a range of symptoms and, if left unchecked, can lead to further damage to the gearbox.

From today, we will no longer be taking on motorcycle mechanical work. We’d like to thank everyone who has trusted us with their bikes over the years – we really appreciate your support.

We will still be offering:

✅ Any motorcycle work that is already booked in will be completed as planned.

Ford ranger wet belt!

We’re working on a Ford Ranger today that needed a wet belt replacement — and it’s a reminder for all Ranger owners out there: don’t wait until it’s too late!

The timing belt on these engines runs in oil, meaning it can degrade faster than a regular belt. If it fails, it can cause serious (and expensive) engine damage.
