I've created a few leaving trophies for colleagues at work of late. This is one example made from scrap aircraft components and scrap wood to make a clock. These are great fun to make! The latest one I've done is my best yet and one I'm particularly proud of. It"s still top secret so I'll post that soon!

This ride-on mower wheel/tyre came in well and truly flat. Unfortunately it had a cut in the sidewall and being tubeless, had to be replaced. A new replacement has been fitted and the mower will be back in action again.

In the workshop today this Hyundai mower has had a routine service and new blade. To keep corrosion at bay, it's undergone a full deck clean, rust treatment and impact/corrosion resistant coating applied. This should give it many more years of trouble-free service. These Hyundai mowers are of decent quality and are good workhorses. They're a decent lower-cost alternative to some of the big brands like Honda and Hayter.

This vintage Paramo vice was languishing in the corner of the garage looking sorry for itself. It was rusty, crusty and had been poorly painted silver. It's had a full strip down, clean up, a lick of fresh green paint and an oil up. Now it sits pride of place on my newly built bench in the shed. It bears a few scars from a life of service, but still works great and will probably outlast any modern rubbish you get from Screwfix!

This nice old Qualcast Suffolk Punch was in for a service and running poorly. It had a dislodged valve seat and stuck valve, and needed some TLC. Valve now reseated, cleaned and serviced, it's running well again and should see a few more years service!
