🏁NWKC Round 8 Race Report🏁

Round 8 was a good but challenging night for me.

I did my qualifying race and then heats 1 and 2 with the group of top drivers, which was a great experience and gave me some really tough racing.

There was some contact in Heat 1 that didn’t sit well with me, especially after what had been said in the briefing before the race. I just tried to keep my head down and focus on my own driving.

I started 6th on the grid for the final and managed to gain two places early on. Unfortunately, after another bump, I lost the places I had gained and finished the final in 6th.

Even though it wasn’t quite the result I was hoping for, I was really happy to be awarded Driver of the Day. I’ve also gained a position in the championship points standing, which is a great way to finish the round.

🏁 Race Report – Round 7

Qualifying and heats 1 and 2 went really well, finishing and I was feeling confident going into A final.

Unfortunately, I drew the short straw with the kart and finished 10th 😩. Not the result I wanted, but that’s racing sometimes!

Onwards and upwards 💪 More points in the bag and plenty to learn from.

Had a slight glitch with my engine, which had put things on hold. BUT, today I was back out in my kart at Hooton Park Circuit with Joshua Peake Ollie R Racing at Hooton Park circuit
Got some great laps times in and a bit of practice in the rain, in my slicks - was fun 😂.

Had an awesome day at Hooton Park yesterday for Oliver’s 12th birthday! 🥳🏁

Sadly, even though my mum tried really hard to get it going, my engine broke down and we couldn’t fix it at the track. 😭

But that wasn’t the end of my day! Nathan and his gang were super kind and let me share their kart. It had a Senior Rotax engine, which was way faster… and yeah, I definitely loved that! 😁💨

The karting community really is like one big family. Massive thanks to Oliver for inviting me to his birthday, and to Nathan and everyone for helping me out. You’re all amazing! ❤️🏎️
