People ask this constantly, so here's the honest answer.

Stage 1 is a software-only remap. The hardware on your vehicle stays exactly as it is. The map works within what the factory components can handle. Smoother, safer, drives like the vehicle should've from factory.

Stage 2 means you've changed hardware. Intake. Exhaust. Intercooler. The map is then written for those new components.

Most people don't need Stage 2. They want Stage 2 because it sounds bigger.

For 95% of drivers, a properly developed Stage 1 transforms the vehicle without touching a single physical part.

Honest advice: start with Stage 1. Anyone pushing Stage 2 on a stock vehicle is selling you something you don't need.
