Weather was against us today but that never stops Boosey Automotive 👊

Front end stripped down to replace a leaking oil feed pipe. Old pipe was well past its best.

Few hours later and she’s back together and leak free.

This one came in with a dead starter — wouldn’t turn over, just frustration for the driver.

We swapped out the worn starter motor for a brand new unit at Boosey Automotive 🔧🚗

⚠️ Transit owners — don’t ignore your wet belt service. This one was close to killing the engine. 😬

We got called out to this Ford Transit and found the wet belt had completely started breaking up inside the engine.

The sump was full of rubber debris and the oil pickup pipe was badly blocked, which means the engine wasn’t getting the oil flow it needed. Left much longer and this would’ve ended in a full engine failure.

We stripped it down, cleaned everything out properly, fitted new quality parts and got the van back running as it should again 🔧

These wet belts are a massive problem if they’re left too long, especially on Transits. The belt breaks down over time and contaminates the oil, so it’s definitely not something to put off.

If you’ve got a Transit and don’t know when the belt was last changed, it’s worth getting it checked before it turns into a much bigger bill.
