When master craftspeople dedicate their lives to the creation of an object, they put a piece of their soul into it and thus bring it to life. And this has been the guiding principle for Mazda from the beginning: Our Takumi do not make cars, they craft them.

In Japan, your signature can be carved.

In Kamakura, we meet Tsukino, a nationally certified hanko artisan whose engraving blades have passed from grandfather, to father, to son.

More than a signature, a hanko is identity made by hand.

In a single pressed mark, it carries five thousand years of craft.
