So Neil came up with this idea to speed up the recovery process in the British Truck Racing Championship.
There seems to be so much time wasted when actually it could be a whole lot simpler and quicker. We get that recovery companies need to advertise, however when you have spectators who have paid good money being bored to tears waiting for a restart, drivers sat in their cabs sweating away waiting for the restart and potentially a reduced race time as a result because there are schedules in place, something has to give.
Here we have a bracket attached to the winches on the recovery boom. You then attach strops from the bracket to the lifting points on the race truck and lift the whole truck up if need be, reducing the risk of damage.
This bracket is weight tested and certified to 6 tonnes πͺ
Thank you to Pat and the team at Thruxton Curcuit who gave us the opportunity to trial this method. Hopefully it can be put into action properly soon.
Thank you to our magician fabricator Dean, who once again pulled it off π and of course big thanks to our own JD for doing the demo in Zeus.
