Eunos Roadster Restoration This is a page dedicated to the progress of my 1993 Eunos Roadster S-Special restoration project. I've owned the vehicle since 19th July 2009.

It's now undergoing a bare shell rebuild and refresh, doing almost all of the work by myself.

Some precious time to do some work on the engine this afternoon. The front of the engine was all built (with a new casting thanks to Amayama's faultless service replacing the failed one.... It was going great until I found out I left the cambelt kit at home. Ah well, that's going to have to until I next venture up to the workshop! There was plenty to get on with! Oil cooler, oil pressure sensor and engine mounts all buttoned up properly.

I've also received a load of aluminum parts back from Tom Midland Vapour Blasting last week. A quick dry fit of the blasted rocker cover and inlet manifold had to be done 😍

Despite the earlier set back of snapping the water inlet, I did get my genuine Mazdaspeed engine mounts installed 😍

My garage currently resembles something out of Breaking Bad, but an afternoon and evening spent doing nothing but cleaning and plating nothing but nuts, bolts, washers and brackets has been some well needed time on the resto. I've been so in the zone I've forgotten to take pictures of the load of bits I've done today, but here's a couple from the last batch. I've absolutely got the plating setup dialed in for mega results now😎

I should have some nice updates to share on rebuild progress in the next week or so 😁

Freshly refurbished OEM Eunos S-Special strut brace finished today....not bad considering I stripped it down in September 2024 😅. Blasted, powder coated and re-chromed fasteners (which I essentially sold a kidney to pay for!). It came out pristine though and I'm over the moon with how good it looks now placed back in the engine bay. Some good progress today 💪🏻

I got the radiator assembly ticked off the restoration list today. Absolutely every bolt was seized solid but perseverance won that battle! Both cooling fans pulled to a million pieces, cleaned within an inch of their lives, sandblasted, painted/powder coated, then mated to a brand new genuine Mazda radiator using some brand spanking new bolts to finish it off before bolting into the engine bay 😍
