Some important information below for all of our customers from our Operations team. The issues around Vehicle Parts Supply and it’s impact on repair times is well documented.

The shortage of vehicle parts started during the pandemic when manufacturing plants shut.
The worldwide shortage of microchips was well documented at this time, with the majority of car brands not being able to honour their production quotas, yet the ongoing lockdowns combined with Brexit and the Russia-Ukraine conflict put further strain on manufacturers and created a much broader impact on the repair industry.

"With delays on bumpers to body panels, steering wheels to wing mirrors, the worldwide shortage of plastics and the movement of goods has led to the lack of availability of car parts / low stock levels in the UK.

"Many parts currently need to be ordered from abroad, meaning lead times to get some parts is weeks, if not months, where previously the UK stock levels would have been able to honour the volume of repairs seen in the UK, in most situations.

The issue is industry wide and broad, so please do bear with us and the industry as we weather this ‘repair storm’.”
