Mazda RX-8 R3 track car booked in with us for a non start but cranking.

We started off a with a diagnostics scan and this vehicle revealed no fault codes.

We removed the passenger side wheel to gain access to the spark plugs.

Engine compression test carried out and this vehicles rotary engine appeared fine.

We checked the compression, spark and fuel delivery supply and everything checked out to be fine so this vehicle had no reason not to start.

We had a theory of this engine to be flooded due to it being remapped.

While the spark plugs had been removed it was a good time to replace them.

We towed this vehicle with a wide open throttle to get this engine spinning over faster to de-flood this engine and she started up perfectly.

🚀 Golf R 1.5L booked in last week for a stage 1 remap and a cold air intake.

Before and after stats.

📈 130bhp before, now 180bhp.

🚀 Ford fiesta ST booked in last week for a cylinder head replacement due to a valve issue.

New ultra parts head gasket kit used and torqued to manufactures specifications.

- Cylinder head, head bolts intake and exhaust gaskets, coolant pipe o-rings, main head gasket, Genuine Ford camshaft bolt caps,
Genuine Ford petrol fuel o-rings,
Timing belt kit and water pump and new oil and filter.

BMW e92 320i booked in with us for a diagnostics.

We plugged the poorly running vehicle in and the diagnostics report showed the vehicles engine timing was out.

Upon further inspection the timing chain tensioner was defective and the timing chain was worn.

We stripped the engine down and locked the engine using timing tools.

New timing chain kit installed, new gaskets, and correct spec oil and filter used.

We then started the vehicle and ran this engine up to temperature to ensure of no leaks.

Diagnostics machine was then plugged in and learned values reset.

Volkswagen Golf booked in for repair as the vehicle would not engage drive.

Upon further inspection the clutch plate had worn down to the rivets.

Q. What is a clutch ?

A. A clutch is the mechanical device used in manual transmission engine, which engages and disengages the power transmission between the engine and the gearbox. It allows a driver to change gears while the engine is running in a smooth and efficient way.

New clutch kit fitted for this golf and another very happy MMT customer 😎😎

MMT had a call on a Sunday at 2 pm regarding their transporter which had an egr issue and the DPF was blocked.
They had packed this van up ready Family holiday driving to Italy 🇮🇹 and across Europe.

Genuine egr valve sourced by customer and fitted by us along with DPF cleaned.

Vehicle returned to its formal glory and driving even better than it was previously.

They have set off at 4am to start their journey across Europe.

Chevy Astro van booked in with us for a full coolant overhaul.
Customer had complaints about the cooling system being very rusty and the engine was over heating.

All parts sourced from Rockautos parts in the USA 🇺🇸

- Radiator
- 2x new coolant hoses
- Waterpump with new gaskets
- Radiator cap
- Tensioner and pulley
- Idler pulley
- Thermostat and thermostat housing
- Viscous fan insert
- New coolant bottle
- New alternator belt
- Loads of new bolts and washers

Gearbox oil and engine oil were topped up as when the radiator was replaced, there was a cooler for each built in.

Ford transit custom camper 2014 2.2 broke down in the severe heat and was towed to us for repair.

Upon further investigation the diesel leak off pipe split covering the entire engine with diesel.

This engine has covered 244000 miles and a lot of these parts had never been changed.

To make this vehicle more reliable we replaced these parts that were beginning to fail or had failed.

we changed :
Crank shaft pulley with new stretch bolts Power steering pump with additional plastic pulley Water pump which is driven by the power steering pump. Main aux belt tensioner Serpentine belt and stretch belt Fuel return hose

Vehicle was then topped up with the correct CHF power steering fluid and coolant.

Customer was given vehicle back to drive for a few days to ensure of no leaks and then we washed the engine with engine degreaser.

Another very happy MMT customer.

2020 Ford Focus Titanium with only 48k on the clock booked in for a gearbox that failed.

We had a call from a customer stating his second gear had gone.

Upon further inspection his gearbox bearings had failed destroying the synchros inside the gearbox.

We could not find a second hand or a reconditioned gearbox for this car as they were only made for a couple of months.

Ford main dealers wanted a fortune for another gearbox and frankly the customer would have not spent the price they wanted.

Gearbox removed and driven about 2 hours away to be fully rebuilt with all new bearings and seals.

While the gearbox was removed we changed the concentric slave cylinder preventing failure in the future saving the customer some money in the long run.

Vehicle repaired successfully and another very happy MMT customer 😎
