Another fantastic Congleton Unplugged is nearly over, we have only two more events next weekend, our Art and Poetry workshops see poster below. As the main part of the festival has ended we extend a big thank you to the venues; Beartown Cock, Beartown Tap, Congleton Cricket Club, Congleton Library, Cygnet Club, DV8, Electric Picture House (Spindle Mill), Gather, Pentecostal Church, Prince of Wales, Quigleys, Old Saw Mill, Stonehammer Music, VISYON, V Bar, Wild & Wild, Ye Olde White Lion, Young Pretender, and the artistes, too many to mention, who present such a great offering in our lovely town, and to our sponsors and supporters; AD Profile, Beartown Brewery, Congleton Town Council, Congleton Inclosure Trust, Congleton Town Trust, Lamb Inn Guest House, Hammond McNulty, SAS Daniels, our partners in making this happen; Biddulph Up In Arms and MusicGofer, and our team of volunteers, you know who you are!

For three weekends, from 29th February to 14th March, Congleton Unplugged 2020 brings you music events for everyone – genres include Prohibition, Blues, Folk, Pop, Indie, and Choral, or just come along and singalong! ....and NEW for 2020……SPOKEN WORD events.
The main event is FREE to enter, with more than 40 gigs over the weekend of March 6, 7, 8 across a variety of your favourite Congleton venues. Lots more info very soon!!!

So a thankyou is due ......to all the bands and artists who took part, some of them travel a long distance for this festival, the venues and their crew who work very hard over this weekend. Our supporters, Congleton Town Council, Congleton Town Trust and Congleton Inclosure Trust, our Sponsors Beartown Brewery, and AD Profile... can I just say how fantastic the AD Profile work is this year it is a massive job which they do for the princely sum of nothing ….and a massive thanks Stonehammer music for hosting our music school and helping to sell our merchandise, the Tourist Information Centre who do a great job helping to publicise the event and what a great job they do selling our merchandise, then we must thank our advertisers who help to pay towards the costs of the programme Bare Health, Walkers Strings, Town Bathrooms, Timothy A Brown Estate Agents, Congleton Osteopaths, Egerton Butchers, West Street Barbers (John's Barbershop), Davenports Outfitters, Rootz hairdressers, Congleton Oatcakes, Ashbrook Plant hire, Norris Health, 7th Heaven Bridal, Wendys Pet Salon.

Opening gig of the 2019 Biddulph Festival tonight in what is fast becoming the town’s favourite venue...a delicious slice of R&B; Biddulph Up In Arms continuing the association with Congleton Jazz and Blues. This is the return leg after our hugely successful foray across the border in late February when Megan Dixon Hood and John Dhali were the featured artists. Tonight CRY BABY & THE HOOCHIE COOCHIE BOYS will be joined by ROBIN PIERCE in solo acoustic mode and we have several boxes of Biddulph Festiv-ale (courtesy of Cheshire Brewhouse) to get the party started. Plenty of room in the church so come along and pay at the door with a modest ticket price of £6.
