More stones on the yard, and a wee reminder that we’re still here, still providing essential services. Like everyone else, we’re adhering to social distancing protocols, and would ask you to drop your car off and leave it for us to take care of. Your keys/steering wheel/door handles will all be sanitised before your car is returned. If you are currently shielding, we can also offer a fully insured collection & delivery service.

Here at Alan Palmer Autos we delight in the different - and this limousine is definitely a funeral car with a difference! It was in for servicing and a good check over before heading off on a charity run to Germany, driven by Alan’s friend Davy Sykes. Read on for further details of his epic journey
Three men, a funeral limousine and the most infamous racetrack on earth: The Nürburgring.....

David (Dad), Michael & Ryan (Sons) are embarking on a 2000 mile round trip in a funeral limo to the ‘Green Hell’ (Nurburgring). The plan is to drive all the way from Belfast to Germany, take the limousine around the track as fast as humanly possible, and drive it back!

As you may know, David was diagnosed with colon cancer in November 2014. Luckily, his cancer was identified at an early enough stage to be removed, treated and he is now in remission.

We have always wanted to hold some significant fundraising for one of the charities which help many people going through cancer treatment in Northern Ireland : Friends of the Cancer Centre. With a desire to show our appreciation, coupled with our emboldened, adventurous (and ironic!) outlook on life, we are hoping to raise as much money as possible for this terrific charity:

They focus on three key areas - patient care, patient comfort and research - and their work supports the services provided by the Health Service. In the last year the charity has invested £1.2 million into local cancer services through the life-saving and life-changing work they support.
