I take great pride in my job and not only do I give you all the skills to pass your driving test I want you to become a safe driver for life. I trained under the DVSA’s standards check system so am fully abreast with client centred learning. This means I don’t just instruct, I adapt to each of my pupil’s strengths and weaknesses so that you become fully competent in all aspects of driving. I offer

a professional and structured training programme where lesson goals are agreed, reflective logs produced and ultimately full independent driving by the pupil to DVSA standard is achieved. Before I set up MCS Driver Training I worked for another driving school. The many great reviews from past students on my page are testament to this. By working for myself I am able to provide the same great professional service at an affordable price.

I am now taking New Start bookings for MANUAL driving lessons for DECEMBER 2026 onwards.

ALL evenings (after 5PM) are booked-up for the foreseeable.

My hours of work are:
* Monday - Thursday 07:15-20:00; and
* Friday 07:15-18:00

A £30.00 Pupil Retaining Fee will secure you a place on my new start waiting list. This fee helps me stabilise my waiting list and enables me to advise you of a realistic start date. The retaining fee will be discounted off the cost of your first lesson.

You will also receive FULL access to TheoryTestPro the online theory training software and will be set up on 'Total Drive' my professional driving school app.

If you want to learn with me it will be worth the wait. To be added to my waiting list, please contact me.

In the meantime you could apply for your provisional driving licence. Some applications are taking up to 10 weeks to process.

If you have already paid a retaining fee and you’re on my waiting list, don't worry, I will get to you as soon as I can.

We’re making some subtle but meaningful changes to the practical driving test. 🚗

You may have seen that we have been trialling changes to the driving test at 20 driving test centres.

As part of the trial, learners drove on routes containing more high-speed, rural roads during their driving test, where location allowed. Now, we are rolling out the changes to all driving test centres in Great Britain from 24 November 2025.

As well as increasing the amount of time spent on higher-speed roads, we are:

✅ reducing the number of stops during the test from 4 to 3
✅ lowering the frequency of emergency stop exercises from 1 in 3 tests to 1 in 7
✅ adding flexibility to the independent driving segment, allowing it to run for the full duration of the test

These changes are designed to help improve road safety by better replicating the conditions motorists face in the real world. They won’t affect the skills needed to take a driving test.
