First race weekend back after the accident. Wow what a Raceday that was! From a week before the race and the car still how it was after the incident, me and .fisher_20 pulled and straighten the body work and fitted new lights and repaired the tailgate with some suspension repairs carried out also and a new gearbox casing with rebuilt internals! The car only being finished with less than 48 before raceday we made it! A few teething issues in qualy saw us towards the middle/back of the pack in the hot hatches but managed to sort the issues for the Dave Allen race and the confidence come back very quickly! Two hot hatch races were a lot of fun starting towards the back carving through the traffic with some great wheel to wheel action, race 1 starting 15th and getting up to P3 overall and P2 in class which I was over the moon with and coming P3 in class in race 2, the Dave Allen race was extremely difficult with the heat but managed P5 overall and P1 in class! To go from Crashing the car and it not being ready to coming back finishing 3 races and coming home with 3 trophies I can’t put into worlds how I feel! Massive massive thank you to the monumental effort and help put in by everyone but definitely, .fisher_20 .holloway1 my Dad and Jay our mechanic and many more! Always great to catch up with Simon also! Great company as always too and such a shame for Jamie in the fiesta having engine issues! Thank you for another great race meeting too!

After a very hectic but very successful start to the year with a podium on the first outing, we took the car to Combe to throw our hat in the ring for the championship. After practice scrubbing new tyres in and no issues with the car and it feeling amazing to drive with perfect conditions we took the car out for qualifying completing one lap getting a feel for the car and getting everything up to temperature. All was good until the last corner of the first flying lap where I hit the brakes and the car didn’t slow down casing me to spin and then was thrown into the pit wall backwards at over 80mph! It turns out the gearbox casing had cracked throwing oil all over the tyres and brakes causing the spin! I managed to hop out of the car and over the pit wall into safety! After the all clear with the medics I’ve suffered with whiplash and a lot of bruising to my neck, back, shoulders and ribs! The car looks to be repairable even with some big damage and I’m on the mend! I wanted to say a massive thank you to organisers, medical and and of course the marshals and orange army who I am very grateful to and can’t thank them enough for the help! Also a massive thank you to all of my fellow drivers and friends for the continued help and support offering to help get the car back together and back out racing! It really means a lot to me to have so many good friends in the paddock! I’m not sure when we’ll be back out racing but as soon as the cars back and I’m fully fit again we’ll be back stronger and faster than ever! 🧡🧡🧡

That’s the first race of the season done at Donnington park with the a great weekend with very mixed conditions. The car didn’t feel fantastic in qualifying with not a great set up on the car due to lack of knowledge of the circuit but managed P5 overall and P1 in class which I was over the moon with! Onto the race a chaotic race with red flags and safety cars which mate things quite interesting in mixed conditions but had some great battles with the very quick Hondas and brought the car home P3 overall and P1 in class! Couldn’t ask for a better start to the season! Massive congrats to .fisher_20 for bringing the fiesta back in P1 in class two P1 in class for the team is a dream start to the season! Onwards to next weekend the first championship race at Combe! Thoughts go out to and hoping for a speedy recovery after an awful accident during our race!

media day yesterday. What a great day with gorgeous weather! First proper outing in the car after some major issues and extensive work and hours gone into getting the car sorted over the past few weeks! After what seems like a very long winter, after last seasons success we’ve had the gearbox fully rebuilt and the gripper diff serviced. Some minor checks and repairs carried out with some slight changed to the car and experimental geo set up ahead of the upcoming season. We have a pre season track day in a couple of weeks with and looking forward to getting back in the car and blowing the cobwebs out getting a feel for the car again and changing all is good ready to go again in what’s looking to be a very competitive year in the hot hatches!

Little end of year post. Didn’t have the best start to the year with blowing an engine In the first race of the year and a few mechanical issues after with 7/10 races started and finished we really worked hard this year and got my head done driving and working on the car and it sure was worth all of the hard work and long hours. Finishing P2 in class A in the hot hatch championship with my first outright podiums and overall wins (Yes multiple) of both! I’m over the moon with how this year has been! Massive improvements with me and the car and can’t wait to get back out next year even stronger! Massive thank you to everyone who has helped and supported me this year, I can’t do it without everyone of you but the biggest shout out to .fisher_20 my teammate for making it that much better! There’s a few big plans in the works over winter so watch this space and we’re going for it even more next year!! 🏁🏁
