This afternoons session was with Vaigai who wants his confidence boosting after only passing his text in January. This is Vaigais 3rd lesson and he's coming on really well. We were practicing emergency stops which he did very well at on his new BMW 1300 GSA. After that we did dual carriageways and town work. Vaigais smile is getting bigger the more confidence he gets. Great session today

This mornings session was with Dale. Who passed his test 18 months ago. Dale wanted an advanced lesson to make him a safer rider. As usual we started in the Ride Academy classroom teaching him advanced rider techniques. Then after a radio brief we went out on the road. Where it was clear Dale was comfortable on the twisty parts of the ride. As for the town work I had to explain to him the importance of early hazard awareness. Dale did well and was awarded his ERS qualification. Well done buddy

This mornings lesson was with my good pal Gav. Gav wanted to become a better, safer rider so he signed up to do his Enhanced Rider Scheme with me. We started the day off as always in the Ride Academys classroom and talked about advanced riding techniques. Then get the radios on and off we went onto various roads including motorway, dual carriageways. Town work and of course corners and bends. Gav was very good from the outset. Almost a perfect ride. Gavs vision and hazard awareness were awesome. After he achieved an outstanding pass and the weather was so nice we went for a ride to Lake Vyrnwy. What a cracking day it's been

Yesterday's lesson was with Karolina. Karolina got in touch asking if I could help her as she had very little confidence in corners and bends. We met at The Ride Academy and used their classroom to talk through corners and bends with the aid of a few diagrams. Then got the radios on and out we went. After a little bit of town work we found some twisty road and straight away I could see Karolinas positioning was very poor. We stopped and had a chat then Karolina followed me and I was talking to her the whole time telling her why I was in the positions I was in and what I was looking for. After stopping again to discuss how she felt following my lines she then took the lead and her riding was totally transformed. Well done Karolina, you showed some very good riding at the end of the session.
