A sensor fault… or something else? 🔧👀
This customer had previously visited another garage, where they were advised that a sensor had likely failed.

But fault codes don’t always mean replace the part they’re pointing at.

The diagnostic scan showed faults relating to airflow being too high and turbo underboost.
So, what did those fault codes lead us to check?

We inspected the intake and boost system and found a split boost pipe. That leak was affecting the airflow readings and preventing the engine from producing the boost it should — triggering the fault codes.

And when we looked at the overall condition of the pipe… well…
What do you think? 😬

🔧 Vauxhall Corsa – Head Gasket & Timing Chain Replacement 🔧
Another Corsa in the workshop for some major engine work! 🛠️
This one came in for a head gasket replacement along with a new timing chain.
While we’re in there, everything will be thoroughly checked and correctly set up before it goes back on the road.
If your Corsa is suffering from coolant loss, overheating, rattling from the timing chain, poor running or warning lights, don’t leave it until it becomes a bigger—and more expensive—problem.

🔧 Mercedes S-Class – Oil Cooler Gasket Replacement 🔧

This Mercedes S-Class came into the garage for oil cooler gasket replacement.

The gaskets themselves might be small, but getting to them is another story! 😅 They’re located deep down in the engine, meaning a fair amount has to be stripped away before they can even be reached.

A big job to replace a couple of little gaskets — but all part of keeping this S-Class running as it should. 👨‍🔧.

🔧❄️ THE JOB THAT KEPT GOING… AND GOING…
This VW Polo came in for an A/C evaporator replacement.

And if you’ve ever wondered why some repairs involve a lot more labour than the part itself… swipe through these photos! 👉

It started with the dashboard coming out…
Then a little more…
And going…
And going… 😅
Until eventually we got to the evaporator.
Then came the small matter of putting the whole lot back together again! 🔧

Thankfully, the final photo says it all:
❄️ A/C working
🔧 Everything rebuilt
🚗 Polo back together
✅ FINALLY, IT’S DONE!

Time to get the diagnostic equipment out and track down what's causing it.
