Before the sun had fully risen, we fired up the bikes at Rila Monastery. 🏍️🔥

The road ahead was long.
The mountains were calling.

We climbed higher and deeper into the Rila range, chasing empty roads and endless horizons until we reached Kalin Dam — the highest dam in the Balkans. ⛰️🏔️

But the summit wasn’t the end.

It was only the beginning of the journey home.

From the high mountains, we pointed the bikes toward Tazha — nearly 400 km of winding roads, mountain passes, changing landscapes and pure freedom.

Hour after hour. Bend after bend.
The mountains slowly gave way to home.

Rila Monastery → Kalin Dam → Tazha.

One unforgettable day.
Almost 400 kilometres.
Two wheels. One direction.

🏍️🇧🇬 FROM THE RHODOPES TO RILA — ONE EPIC DAY ON THE BIKES

Leaving Dospat behind, we knew we were in for something special… but this route delivered far more than we could have imagined.

From the high roads around Dospat, we headed deeper into the mountains, weaving through some of the most remote and beautiful parts of southern Bulgaria.

🏔️ Dospat → Dolen → Leshten → Kovachevitsa → Ribnovo → Rila Monastery

Quiet mountain roads. Endless bends. Forests disappearing into the valleys. Tiny villages clinging to the mountainsides. And that feeling of being completely away from the everyday world.

We passed through Dolen, Leshten and Kovachevitsa, places where time seems to have slowed down, before continuing through the dramatic landscapes around Ribnovo.

And then came the final chapter…

The landscape began to change as we left the Rhodopes behind and headed towards the mighty Rila Mountains.

After another incredible stretch of Bulgarian mountain roads, we finally arrived at Rila Monastery — one of Bulgaria’s most remarkable landmarks, hidden deep in the mountains.

From remote Rhodope villages to one of Bulgaria’s greatest cultural treasures… this wasn’t just a ride.

This was an adventure through the heart of Bulgaria. 🇧🇬❤️

Every kilometre brought something new.
Every corner opened another view.
Every village told another story.

And that’s exactly why we ride. 🏍️🔥
