A bit of a different one today! 👀🔧

A customer got in touch to have a front splitter and spoiler lip fitted to their Audi.

Not something I get asked to do every day, but it's always good to have a change from the usual mechanical jobs! 😁

Really happy with how it turned out — definitely gives the front end a bit more attitude. 🔥

A bit of everything over the last few days!

🏁 Audi RS6 – Centre prop bearing bush replaced with a heavy-duty racing-spec upgrade. What an animal this machine is !

🚐 My own van – Even the mechanic's van needs some attention sometimes! 😅 The brakes were definitely well overdue some TLC, as you can see from the pictures. All sorted and back to stopping properly!

🔧 Renault Kadjar – Full service carried out along with a DPF pressure sensor replacement.

🛠️ Audi A4 – Full set of brake discs and pads fitted. This one put up a bit of a fight with heavy corrosion causing a bolt to snap, but after a bit of extra work I managed to remove it and replace it safely.

🔋 And finally, a last-minute job squeezed in today. The customer contacted me thinking they had an electrical fault, Turned out to be something much simpler — a dead battery. New battery fitted and back up and running pretty promptly!

It's been another busy one, with plenty of different jobs keeping me on my toes. 🔧

A busy couple of days at JW Mobile Auto Repairs 🔧🙂

Yesterday started with a Fiat 500L that needed an oil pump pressure switch replacing. Definitely not one of the more straightforward jobs, with the sensor tucked away and the A/C pump and bracket needing to come off to gain access — but all sorted in the end. 👍

Today was a Mercedes C220, where I carried out a full service, fitted a new set of brake pads and added a fuel system cleaner after repairing the fuel filter.

Then it was straight on to a VW Tiguan after the customer contacted me about a snapped auxiliary belt. A new tensioner and belt were fitted, with the A/C pump again ! needing to come off to gain access.

A couple of awkward jobs thrown in amongst the more routine work, but that's all part of it! 😁🔧

A few jobs from the past few days 🔧🚗

🔧 Peugeot 207 - Rear brake drum cylinders, both being seized and not working the handbrake efficiently. Replaced and handbrake adjusted. Ready for its MOT retest.

🔩 Vauxhall Astra – Front wheel bearing replaced. A nice straightforward job and all sorted for the customer.

🛠️ Mazda 2 – Full service and inspection carried out, including the usual checks to make sure everything is as it should be.

🚗 Peugeot 3008 – Anti-roll bar link replaced, ball joint was heavily worn causing a loud squeak and knocking.

Another few jobs ticked off and a good mix of work over the last few days 👍

🚗 Citroën DS3
Following an unfortunate argument with a kerb, the lower suspension arm had been bent. A replacement arm was fitted to get the suspension back to where it should be.

🚗 Ford Mondeo
Rear brake discs and pads replaced, helping keep the braking system performing safely and effectively.

Two different repairs, both completed conveniently at the customer's home.

Been a little quiet on the page recently, so here’s a couple of jobs from the past week 🔧

🔧 SsangYong – Starter motor replacement, with the part supplied by the customer, also while removing the old motor i discovered the original motor was only held in with one bolt rather than the two that it should have, I supplied and fitted a new bolt free of charge.

🌧️ Handbrake repair on VW polo – On one of my returning customers, including adjustment of the handbrake shoes and fixing a loose handbrake lever.

Even managed to get the handbrake job done on a proper wet and miserable day! 😂☔

A few different jobs on the list today:

🚗 Vauxhall Insignia – oil & filter change, with parts supplied by the customer.

🔋 Mazda 2 – new battery fitted with 3 year warranty. Nice easy Job.

🔧 Ford Fiesta ST – a slightly trickier one today!
Removed a snapped spark plug and fitted a new replacement supplied by the customer.

Three different jobs, three different problems — all sorted at the customer's doorstep. 👨‍🔧

Today I carried out two full services at the same address,

Both received the usual checks, new service parts, oil change and a good once over, including replacing some rather well-used air filters!

And of course… you can't beat a good cup of tea while you're working! ☕😂

This customer got in touch after their car failed its MOT due to a handbrake imbalance.

After inspecting the vehicle, I found the issue was a snapped offside handbrake cable casing, which meant the handbrake wasn't applying evenly.

🔧🚗 New handbrake cable supplied and fitted at the customer's home, and the car is now ready to head back for its MOT retest.

Sometimes an MOT failure can sound worrying, but often it's a straightforward repair once the fault is correctly diagnosed.

Another day another happy customer 😀🚗🔧

Today I carried out a full service on this vehicle at the customer's home, saving them the hassle of taking it to a garage.

As part of the service: *New engine oil, *New oil filter, *New air filter *New cabin filter, *Vehicle health check, *All fluid levels checked and topped up.

Just look at the difference between the old and new filters! 👀
Keeping on top of servicing not only helps your engine run smoothly but can also improve fuel economy and help prevent costly repairs in the future.
