You can prepare for bad drivers.
You can prepare for bad weather.
But sometimes… nature has other plans.
You never know what you’re going to face on a ride. A pigeon flew straight into my helmet giving me virtually no time to react.
Thankfully, I was wearing quality gear. My X-SPR Pro and visor came away without a scratch, and the rest of my gear did exactly what it was supposed to do. I was left with concussion symptoms, but it could have been far worse.
If you’re ever tempted to save money on riding gear, please don’t. You only get one head.
