60ft Narrowboat Relocation ➡️ Claydon to Rochford

Another specialist transport project successfully completed by the Roy Humphrey team.

Today we lifted a 60ft narrowboat from the water at Claydon using a 35-tonne boat hoist before carefully loading it onto our specialist low-loader for transport to Rochford, near Southend.

With careful planning and precise handling throughout, the vessel was safely delivered to its destination where it will now undergo a full refurbishment.

From boat recoveries and relocations to abnormal loads and specialist transport, our experienced team has the equipment and expertise to handle challenging moves from start to finish.

This stunning Scania RS Recovery truck has recently passed through our workshop, where our team carried out all preparation work ahead of the custom artwork application.

Working closely with RS Recovery’s own airbrush artist, we prepared the vehicle panels to create the perfect canvas for the design. Once the artwork was completed, we professionally sealed the entire finish beneath multiple layers of high-quality clear lacquer, providing exceptional gloss, protection and long-term durability.

The result is a unique recovery vehicle that combines striking visual impact with a show-quality finish, featuring iconic scenes and characters from the legendary Rocky films brought to life across the bodywork.

From preparation and paintwork through to final lacquer and finishing, RH Bodyworks delivers bespoke commercial vehicle projects to the highest standard.

🏗️ Project Progress Update: Anglian Water SPA Scheme 💧

Another successful lift completed by the Roy Humphrey Crane Hire team, supporting JBF Group on an Anglian Water SPA project.

Our crane was on site assisting with the installation of structural steelwork, helping keep the project moving safely and efficiently despite some challenging weather conditions throughout the day.

From blue skies to storm clouds, our operators and lifting team remained focused on delivering a safe, professional service from start to finish.

A slightly different job for the Terex last Friday 👌

We were at Wimbotsham Church, helping install new timbers into the bell tower. Access was extremely tight, but with careful planning and the right machine for the job, the Terex made light work of lifting everything safely into position.

It was a great project to be involved in, and most importantly, the customer was very pleased with the service we provided.
