A fantastic day at Shaikly Motor Company, Colchester!

Here's what Abdul had to say about his day at the Shaikly Motor Company Car Meet 2026...

🗣️ It was great to visit Adam, Dan and the team at Shaikly Motor Company for a fantastic day celebrating all things automotive.

With around 30 cars on display, there was a mix of modern performance cars, luxury vehicles and classics, with the stunning Lotus Elan taking home 🏆 Best Car.

It was also great to see the passion and stories behind the cars, including Adam and Dan’s grandad’s Cadillac Eldorado. A real piece of family history!

A huge thank you to Adam and Dan for having us along and organising such a brilliant event. It was fantastic to meet the team, see the collection and experience the enthusiasm within the local automotive community. And, of course, great to see Shaikly Motor Company proudly representing the Castrol Service Network. 👏

We've been taking a look at some of the Castrol Service network's branding over the years, and we love what the team at CR MOT Centre have done with theirs! 👏

Based in Tamworth, CR MOT Centre prides itself on providing reliable, honest and professional vehicle care. While the team specialise in Ford vehicles, they also have the expertise to service and repair most makes and models.

A great example of how a strong brand can really make a workshop stand out!

North West Garage Services have passed their audit to become a Castrol Certified Workshop!

Welcome to the network, Lawson Autotech!

Barry, Laura and the team have, in Ben’s words, taken to the Castrol Service Network ‘like ducks to water’, already designing and fitting their fantastic new signage!

Even with everything they have going on, they’ve wasted no time getting stuck into life as part of the network. And, with the team also busy preparing for the return of their networking event, Thistle Auto Revival, on Saturday, 6th February 2027, it’s impressive to see them hit the ground running.

Scotland’s only automotive event dedicated to independent workshops, Thistle Auto Revival is, in their words, “more than just a gathering, it’s a dedicated space for the automotive community to connect, share expertise, and celebrate the future of our industry while honouring its heritage.”
