When does my car need a service ?

Getting your car serviced is so important. Why ? Here are just a few

🔧 Better safety
🔧Improved reliability
🔧Longer vehicle life span
🔧Better fuel economy

So when do I need it ? By mileage every 10/12k depending on car or by time at least every 12 months. If you are not sure check with your owner’s manual or give your local garage a call.

Would you like to know how to check your oil ?

There is a couple of ways to check you oil depending on your car.

🔧 First locate your dip stick (see picture below). Pull it out give it a wipe put it back in and then back out. The oil should be between the minimum and maximum line or grove.

💻 Some cars have the information in the computer system. Navigate the dashboard menu looking for service information or vehicle information.

Make sure you check the oil when the car is on a flat surface and when the engine is cold. If you need a top up look out for the filler cap. (See picture below)

More tyre information for you 😀

🛞 Where do I find the correct tyre pressures for my car ?
🚗 This can be found in different places on the car such as inside the drivers door or inside the fuel cap, another place is the oweners manual.

🛞 How do I check the tyre pressures ?
🚗You can do this by going to a petrol station and using a pressure gauge. You can also buy portable ones that are handy to have in the car.

🛞 How do I check the tread depth ?
🚗 Personally I like to use a tread depth gage, these are fairly cheap and handy to have in the car. You can also use your finger and feel for rubber bulges in-between the tread and make sure it’s not level.

Hope these help. Any questions feel free to ask.

How do I know my tyres are safe a legal to be on the road 🤔
Things to check
🛞 Do you have more then 1.6mm of tread across the central 3/4 of the tyre ?
🛞 What’s the side wall like ? No bumps and lumps and free from gashes ?
🛞Do we have air ?
🛞Look out for uneven wear.
