Our journey at The Roof Box Company… so far!

After Martin and Lucy welcomed twin boys in to the world, they quickly realised that there was just not enough space in their car for all the baby paraphernalia.
What started as a simple problem at home became the start of something much much bigger and in 1997 they founded The Roof Box Company.

Our first office opened in Sedbergh, with an office and warehouse team, gradually expanding over the coming years with more warehouses, more staff and more products.

In 2026 RBC became part of Roof Racks Galore, Australias leading specialist retailer of roof racks, bike carriers and roof boxes.

After operating solely online for the past 30 years, we opened our first UK store earlier this year and are currently forming a new showroom and fitting bay at our HQ in Sedbergh.
