Honda Power

More honda injectors in today.

These had the very common breakdown of the internal filter baskets rendering the car near on powerless.
The garage reported huge loss of power and multiple miss fires across all four cylinders.

We always do a pre service test to get a base line of the health of the injectors to work from. These were perticually bad producing on average 30cc per injector

We remove the plastic debris from the filter and set them on their cleaning journey through our ultra sonic cleaners.

Once cleaned the injectors are rebuilt with stainless steel filters and new upper and lower o-rings. In this case all pintle caps were intact and damage free so we left these in situ 👍

Post testing in our asnu test rig shows a very well balanced set of injectors at 195cc 💪

Nissan Skyline injectors in with the team this week.

As part of the restoration of the now classic R33 sensibly this customer came to us for an injector health check snd service.

Our Asnu test rigs hold the key to putting these side feed injectors through their paces.

Unlike conventional port injectors which locate into the rail and take the fuel feed from the top of the injector, as the name suggests these items take their fuel from the side of the injector.

Poor quality condition filters and broken pintle caps were noticable from initial inspection. Although they looked in bad condition they actually flowed ok, not balanced but not the worst we have seen 👍

Taking these through the cleaning process and rebuilding with new upper and lower o-rings, filter rings and pintle caps now see these injectors balanced and flowing brilliantly as a balanced set of 6.

From left to right these injectors run 1 - 2 - 3 -4

You can see the un even spray formation on injector 2.

Its hard to see on this video but there is also un even spray pattern on injector 3 too.

When these injectors were origionally fitted in the car the misfire was logged on cylinder 3 only, cylinder 2 logged fine 😬

Our ASNU test rig gives us the the abuility to make decisions based on the fact ! Only when you can see everything infront of you, can you then make the correct decision on a set of injectors.

The infux of Honda injectors is intoxicating at the moment 🙈

These little port injectors are over £200 + VAT each from the dealers, add into that a supply chain shortage then this can cause a real problem if you need your car everyday.

Alot of garages try coil packs and plugs before eventually pin pointing the injectors as an issue.

If new injectors are really expensive or out of stock what do you do ???

Porsche 911

Roy entrusted us with 6x Bosch injectors removed from his not so common 1985 Porsche 911 - sent through the post all the way from Dorset 👍

When opening the parcel and removing the injectors from their home made sponge packaging (most creative one we have seen yet) we noted there was a missing top seal and 2 with damage.

We always start with a visual inspection and then proceed onto pre service testing on our ASNU Fuel Injection test rig .

Average spray patterns and slight irregularities in the static flow results were noted aswell as some damaged and leaking top seals.

We clean and service the injectors with new top and bottom seals along with stainless steel filters to replace the o.e plastic items. Once we are happy they go through the testing process again.

Happy with the results and now within factory specs we complete a full written report and enclose it in the parcel now on its way back to Roy 🙌

Its always a nice feeling when your solving problems and offering solutions with proven results to any customer. But when you offer this service for a main dealer its that little bit sweeter. 💪

We have previously completed injector work for Vertu Honda Durham, but this time we were contacted by Vertu Honda Newcastle.

A supply problem with new injectors have forced dealers to think outside of the box Working with companies like ourselves offers a solution for their customer. Our service also gets away from the throw away society we sometimes find our selves in. ♻️

These injectors were refurbished by our trained staff using the best in the business ASNU Fuel Injection test rig. A full written report was supplied including before and after results, new parts fitted were top and bottom seals, stainless steel filters and new pintle caps.
