Before you even start the engine, your examiner is already watching. Here are 3 things that catch people out straight away.

1. Cockpit drill. Seat, mirrors, seatbelt. Do it properly, do it every time.

2. POM routine. Prepare, Observe, Manoeuvre. If you skip this before moving off they notice immediately.

3. Blind spot check. That quick look over your shoulder before pulling away shows awareness and confidence.

None of these are hard once they become habit. We drill these into every lesson so they feel completely natural on test day.
