Another awesome build from last week. A very colourful van.

This was a basic white van early in its life now the audio has caught up with the owner's vision.

The head unit has been upgraded to the Kenwood DMX8021DABS. The 7" WVGA screen is much better and larger than original. WiFi for wireless Apple Carplay or Android Auto, DAB and FM radio, USB and HDMI inputs and up to 4 camera inputs. It's also got USB and HDMI dash blanks.

The power and control comes from the Audiotec Fischer Match UP8DSP amp. This gives you an active 8 channel setup.

Audiotec Fischer Compose I3 speakers throughout and the Vibe Black Air 10" shallow subwoofer under the passenger seat base.

Finally tuned and time aligned using the latest Audiotec Fischer software and microphone. The only noticeable extra is the small remote in the T6 cubby hole. This gives the owner the ability to have 2 presets for driver focused or if a passenger gets in. Also a subwoofer control and the ability to be able to attenuate the tweeters

So the next project has started.

Finally got the Coilovers on, I swear this thing is 5 different greens, 💚💚🤐😆😁🫣, need to get the polisher out.

Test fitted the wheels. They are off being painted then I need to get some more Nankangs.

Few other bits to do before the MOT then it's time to put some audio in it.

Part 2

These are the rest of the pics from that last build before holiday.

This is all set up using the latest software from Audiotec Fischer. It was great to be able to try different tunes and methods after having the intensive training course with Audiotec Fischer at Vibe Audio last month

I didn't get a chance to post this before I went on holiday.

Part 1

This was a complete audio upgrade.

Starting with a Kenwood DMX8021DABS. It has a 7" WVGA screen. This gives the user WiFi for wireless Apple Carplay or Android Auto, DAB and FM radio, USB and HDMI inputs and up to 4 camera inputs.

The heart of the system is the Audiotec Fischer Match UP6DSP Amp with the URC.3 remote. This is wired active to both tweeters and doors independently.

Speakers are also Audiotec Fischer, Compose I3. Fitted with Antivibe sound deadening. Bass is taken care of with the Audiotec Fischer Helix Transporter under seat subwoofer to give the perfect balance.

A T5 in for a Kenwood DMX8021DABS

A T5.1 in for a floating 9" Pioneer stereo, Vibe 65.4 micro amp and an underseat subwoofer.

A Peugeot Boxer in for a Kenwood DMX6523DABS.

All fitted with 3D printed USB dash mounts and HDMI mount for the 8021 from VW 3D Printing
