A little turbo surgery 👨🏻🏭🐌
Something a bit different through the workshop — modifying the compressor housing for a 500bhp Nissan Skyline R32. 🚗💨
The original outlet needed altering to suit the setup, so the housing was carefully cut, positioned to the required angle and TIG welded back together.
Cast aluminium turbo housings aren’t always the nicest material to work with, especially when you want a strong, clean weld without putting unnecessary heat into the housing — but this one came together nicely 👌
It’s jobs like this we really enjoy. Not everything can be bought off the shelf, and sometimes the only way to make something fit properly is to cut it up and make it work.
From cracked alloy wheels and aluminium repairs to custom fabrication, intercooler pipework and one-off automotive welding — if it’s aluminium and needs welding, give us a message.
