RIP Quentin. Not just interesting and entertaining but very knowledgeable too. Loved his The Car Is The Star series, in particular. Remember him on Light Lunch identifying cars from one part on display, like a Ferrari 250 rear light or something, when another famous motoring journalist sat alongside him couldn't. He knew his stuff.

Blast from the past. Chas and Dave and a Capri, 1975.

This previously-shared pic of the boys from 1975 was taken outside Wembley stadium during a break from recording their debut album (they were recording at the old De Lane Lea studio next to the stadium). Dave recently confirmed this was actually taken on the day Evel Knievel attempted to jump thirteen double-decker buses at Wembley. And the boys had a chat with him beforehand. Funny old world.

Some of you might know that I'm being treated for cancer at St. James's Hospital in Leeds. (Our club events are still going ahead as best as we are able. Neil is being a trooper.) Although the event has now passed, it's still possible to donate to The Leeds Hospitals Charity fund we set up for the run out we did a couple of weeks ago. I'd love to be able to reach £1000 (or more) for the charity. 100% of your donation goes to the charity. Thank you to all those who have already donated. I'll post a link below. Kind regards, Mat
